VND 16 trillion for Phu Quoc International Airport




 
Nhan Dan - Phu Quoc International Airport will be invested with VND 16 trillion to become an airport that meets 4E criteria according to the International Civil Aviation Organisation, ICAO, and also a military airport of second grade.
This is according to a decision dated November 10 by the Prime Minister approving the Planning of the Phu Quoc International Airport by 2020, vision 2030.
By 2020, the airport will be able to receive such planes as B767, B747-400 and the equivalent and a parking plot for 14 positions and the figure will be increased to 25-27 positions after 2030.
After 2030, the airport's runway will be developed so as to be able to receive up to 20 planes at peak hours.
The airport is built to receive 2.5 million passengers a year by 2020 and 7 million passengers a year by 2030.
Total area planned for the airport is over 905 hectares.
